I just bought this welder. It works good on thin metal. Maybe the thickest metal it can weld may be 1/8 of an inch. It may weld a 1/4 of an inch. This welding gun is not for a beginner Welder and it’s only going to use the welding rod that they provide for you. It will not burn any other welding rod.
